Plastic Bags I

In this series Tatarinova photographed plastic bags both from the Soviet Union and contemporary ones. These bags are popular and constantly in use in Russia, as in the rest of the world. Watching only the surface, we do not immediately recognize the contents they represent.
In general plastic bags reflects a world of massive consumerism. A world that on the surface appears attractive but the glossy surface does not reveal consumerisms true purpose.
