This print is part of Bredenbekk´s exploration of early century social realism. The artist is fascinated with traditional male role models and manual labour. The graphic patterns and shapes dissolve up close but from a distance the depiction is clear. Hand printed in a “vintage” black on a mist coloured paper (beige). Screen-printed individually by hand, signed and numbered. The combination of lines and patterns takes inspiration from both pop art and traditional printmaking techniques such as woodcut and etchings.
